ALCI: EXP2 I/O Expansion Board

The EXP2 expansion board plugs directly into the ALCI board and provides additional sockets for up to 3 more HX711 load cell amplifiers giving the potential for 4 load cells being monitored through one Arduino NANO board. All channels have shunt calibration facility. In addition, any spare I/O Ports are provided on terminals.

The key functions are:

• Up to 3 off additional HX711 load cell amplifier sockets

• Physical shunt CAL facility (100K ohms) for each channel

• 8 analogue I/O ports available on terminals

• 2 digital + RXD and TXD I/O ports available on terminals

• GND & 5V available on terminals

• Full capacitive decoupling

The EXP2 expansion board can expand the ALCI to a very useful multi channel load cell sensing interface. Plus, with the additional I/O ports, these outputs can be easily displayed or processed for additional system functionality.
